Hands Make Quick Work
A big THANK YOU to
workers from the Erie County Adult Probation Community Service
Program for helping out at the Traffic Triangle Garden July
18th. This hard working crew pulled several big bags of weeds,
trimmed bushes and even swept the street and sidewalk. What
would we do without them?
The Community Service
Program of the Erie County Adult Probation/ Parole Department
provided manpower for the day with a work crew of non-violent
offenders being held accountable for their actions by the Erie
County Court of Common Pleas, through the performance of unpaid
labor, symbolically "paying back the community. The work
crew is comprised of individuals performing their court-ordered
Community Service under the supervision of the Work Crew Leader,
Tom Burkett, pictured far left.
Grateful commuters driving by often tell volunteers working
the garden that it is a source of tremendous pleasure and enjoyment.
